1. Introduction

Chipa Backtester ("the App") is a mobile application for algorithmic trading strategy backtesting and analysis. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account & Authentication Data

• Email address and display name (collected via Chipa Auth at auth.chipatrade.com)
• Authentication tokens (session JWTs) used to identify you across services
• License/subscription plan type (e.g. free, basic, pro, enterprise)

2.2 Usage Data

• AI assistant message history (stored locally on your device only; not transmitted to our servers except as part of AI requests)
• Daily AI request count (stored locally via shared_preferences to enforce free-tier quotas)
• Backtest configurations and strategy parameters (stored locally on your device)

2.3 Device & Technical Data

• Device type and operating system version (collected automatically by Firebase)
• App crash reports and performance data (via Firebase Crashlytics, if enabled)
• IP address (standard server-side log when you make API requests)

2.4 AI Requests

When you use ChipaAI, your messages are transmitted to our AI proxy at https://chipatrade.com/api/ai-proxy. These messages are processed to generate responses. We do not permanently store your AI conversation history on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Chipa Trade platform (chipatrade.com): Your session token is shared with our own backend to authenticate AI requests.
• Firebase (Google): Used for authentication and, optionally, crash reporting. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.

5. Data Storage & Retention

• Local device storage: Backtest data, AI usage counters, and session tokens are stored locally on your device and are not backed up to our servers.
• Authentication data: Managed by Firebase Auth. Retained until you delete your account.
• Server logs: Standard access logs are retained for up to 90 days.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all API communications
• Firebase Auth for secure credential management
• Session tokens are never stored in plaintext

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@chipatrade.com.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data (see Section 9)
• Object to certain processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

How to Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Chipa Backtester account through any of the following methods:

Option 1: In-App Request (Recommended)

1. Open the App and go to Profile tab
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
3. Confirm your identity and confirm deletion

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to support@chipatrade.com with:

• Subject: Account Deletion Request — Chipa Backtester
• Your registered email address
• A brief confirmation that you wish to delete your account

We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation email when complete.

Option 3: Chipa Trade Web Portal

Log in at chipatrade.com → Account Settings → Delete Account.

The following data may be retained after account deletion:

Local Device Data

Deleting your account does not automatically remove data stored locally on your device (backtests, strategy files, AI usage counters stored via app storage). To remove this data:

• Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Chipa Backtester → Storage → Clear Data
• Or uninstall the App

Consequences of Deletion

• You will be immediately signed out of the App
• Your subscription/license will be cancelled with no refund for unused time
• You will lose access to all backtest history and saved strategies stored under your account
• Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
